Reproduction
Item commissioned by St. Mary's Church Dalmahoy, Edinburgh. To re-create a similiar design to the original piece I used reclaimed timber. Items were then finished with water based stain, finishing oil then sealed with bee's wax. Size 1 square inch approx by 2 cm's thickness.
Bookends, Solid Oak.
The 90 degree angle created using a half blind dovetail plus each letter is carved by hand. For the letter "G" I first created a template then transfered this to the wood for cutting. Finished with Bee's wax.
